Sorcery figure from Injalak Hill

This work by Allan is painted after a well-known rock art piece in red ochre on Injalak Hill. Visitors today are shown the art piece when they visit the hill, but it once conveyed an important moral to those who lived in the rock shelters during the wet season.

It tells the story of a woman who cheated on her promised husband. As a result of this, he decided to perform sorcery against her. She swelled up as she became possessed by an evil spirit inside her stomach, and her joints were bitten by bodbang (red ants).
