It’s crazy how time gets away from us here – if you’ve ever visited you will know how dynamic our art centre is with a constant flow of people, activities and projects in the dry season. No wonder we barely paused for breath and September and October passed in a blur. Recent events: On October 3rd a very proud Graham Badari launched his first children’s art book Mayhmayh – Different Birds at Bowali Visitors’ Centre during Kakadu Bird Week. In mid October we attended Tarnanthi Art Fair in Adelaide and caught up with friends from around Australia. Right now a selection of clothing from our Get it on! exhibition in Katherine, NT at Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre aka GYRACC with a new title: Injalak Fabric a-Dressed from 27 October to 9 December 2017. Mindil Beach Markets wound up at the end of October after an excellent year. We’ll be at the Tactile Arts Xmas Craft Fair on 19th November at the Convention Centre. If you are searching for Xmas goodies online please don’t forget our fair trade products in our Etsy store. We have books, hand-printed fabric lengths, bags, cushion covers, clothing, tea towels and more and will be adding a lot in the coming weeks. NOW we have our very own Injalak Arts Online Shop up and working – please browse our paintings, prints and natural fibre products. Don’t forget people that if you are craving something from Injalak Arts – act now – as we close for six weeks from 15th December. Happily we reopen on 29th January 2018 refreshed and ready for a new year. PS: Follow us on Instagram and Facebook – lots of fabulous photos and stories there.
