We’re officially open for tourist season 2018! The river came down last week and we’ve already had visits from independent travellers as well as our partners Kakadu Cultural Tours and Top End Day Tours. Both offer day tours out of Jabiru. Venture North has also brought guests. If you’d like to drive here it’s not always easy to understand the tides but visit this website and give us a call and we can guide you through when it’s easiest to cross the East Alligator River. Don’t forget you can book your Injalak Hill Rock Art Tour with us or with a partner operator. Injalak Arts at Mindil Beach Markets has kicked off again – if you’re in Darwin go and visit Brooke. We send in fresh stock every week. What else is happening? The Whacky Show will be at Don Whyte’s until 19th May. This weekend we are launching a Pozible crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to publish a 42 page booklet about Injalak Hill. You’ll be able to see our very own ad for it. Tomorrow Tourism NT is coming to make a film about our Rock Art Hill Tours featuring Christina Djorlom and on Sunday a BBC crew arrives to film for a major documentary. Our dear participants in Get it on 2018 are busy making beautiful things – follow #getiton2018 to see the clothing in progress. We will have entries from the US, Cambodia and a recently arrived Ukrainian plus many Australians. This weekend 4-6 May, we’ll be at Finders Keepers Markets at Barangaroo in Sydney. We have projects, collaborations, events and more coming up. We’ll keep you posted.
