Learn ancient painting techniques from Kunwinjku Artists and create your own self-painted artwork.

Description

We invite you to learn the history and ancient painting techniques of Kunwinjku Artists from West Arnhem Land in this hands-on workshop.

Using traditional ochres on artist paper, you will be guided through the Bininj Kunwok cultural traditions and learn how they are being maintained and practiced today. Under the guidance of Injalak Artists, you will learn techniques, styles and the Djung (Dreaming) of West Arnhem Land and leave the workshop with your own a self-painted artwork.
