To be opened by Marcus Schutenko, Director, MAGNT at 2 pm 24th November 2018
Joe Guymala began painting five years ago at his outstation Manmoyi in western Arnhem Land. His first works were immediately quirky and captivating. He seized the attention of curators and collectors in a group show in 2016 with his bold imagery and dense application of ochre and unique rarrk. A finalist in the 2018 NATSIA Awards, we are delighted to present his first solo exhibition with works on paper, bark and lorrkon created over the last three years. Joe will be performing at the opening.
Exhibition open until 23 December. For a digital catalogue email firstname.lastname@example.org
